Brewer Machine and Gear Company, founded in 1944, is actually three businesses in one. A manufacturer of The Universal Drive Tensioner, Positioner, and Idler product line, a manufacturer of made-to-order gears and sprockets, and a distributor of power transmission products and bearings of all types.
For over forty years Brewer Machine & Gear Company has been manufacturing and marketing, through industrial distributors, a line of chain and belt tensioners, positioners and idlers. The product line has grown from a two page catalog in 1959 to a twenty-four page brochure today which includes over 200 items.
